Formed in 2009, the Chihara Trio consists of Anthony Costa (clarinet), Tim Deighton (viola), and Enrico Elisi (piano). The group takes its name from the celebrated American composer Paul Chihara (b. 1938), who has been commissioned to write a new work for the trio that was premiered in 2010 at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall.
