I wish to express my personal gratitude to all the composers that have taken part in the second edition of the competition and have submitted high-level scores, thus contributing to the success of the 2012 initiative. It has been a pleasure to see the process unfold itself and to follow it closely over the past few months.
A special thanks goes to the executive committee and, in particular, to He Suk Kang for the support offered throughout the various phases of the contest. Of course this could not have been possible without the help of our Artistic Committee, as well as that of all the members of the Board. Thank you all for your tenacious perseverance and for believing in the project!
Finally, I feel obliged to thank the many composers/adjudicators that have worked very seriously and assiduously to make decisions over the many scores we received this year.
The next step of this competition is that of engaging with all the performers that are committed to the vision and the mission of Musica Domani Prize. We must never forget that our initiative was born out of the desire of connecting composers and performers and to encourage the production and performance of music. To this end we are committed to moving forward.
All the winners will be contacted by email, after October 13th, for details about their awards. The organization will continue to engage with the prize winners and keep in touch about future opportunities for the scores they have submitted.
Congratulations, again, to all the prize winners and best wishes to everyone!
Enrico Elisi
