APPLICATION
Eligibility: the competition is open to composers of any nationality born after January 1, 1965.

Application Procedure:
Click on the "Pay Now" button in order to send the application fee of (USD) $20 payable by credit card or PayPal via online secure transaction (PayPal).
Application fee, online payment, and all other required materials must be received by April 24, 2010 (no postmark). See details under
SCHEDULE.
Payment by check is also accepted: skip the procedure above for online payment and, instead, issue a check for (USD) $20 payable to "Arioso Management." Send the check to the address below.
- Fill out the present application form.
- After submitting the application form, you must send a copy of your composition in PDF format and a MIDI file (the latter is optional) to competition[AT]ariosomanagement.com (replace the [AT] with @ please.) The composer's name must not appear in the submitted materials. Only the composer's own identifying mark should be on the PDF and MIDI files.

Two-step Application Process:
A. Online (by April 24, 2010)
- Fill out online application form
- Submit payment of application fee online by credit card or PayPal (otherwise, send a check--see details under step B)
- E-mail a PDF file of the composition (following the details about anonymous submission explained below) to the competition office at competition@ariosomanagement.com
B. Regular Mail (by April 24, 2010--no postmark)
- send a recording or video recording of the composition, if available (CD, MP3, DVD format). Recordings of the entire composition are highly desirable but not mandatory.
- alternatively, send MIDI file(s) of the composition. MIDI files are welcome but not mandatory.
MP3 and MIDI files can also be sent by email (if their size is not excessively large.)

Announcement of Finalists: July 1, 2010. Finalists will be contacted by email.
Announcement of Winners: August 10, 2010.
Final Concert and Award: Spring 2011 (date will be announced).
SUBMITTED WORK
Duration: 8-12 minutes.
Instrumentation: the composition to be submitted for the 2010 competition must be for
solo piano.
Compositions for prepared piano will not be accepted.
Policy on submitted materials: no materials will be returned to candidates. Please, do not submit original scores.
PROCEDURE FOR ANONYMOUS SUBMISSION
Anonymous Identifying Mark: an and it must appear on the PDF file (first page of the printed score), recorded materials, and MIDI files, as well as the online application form. Except for the online application form, candidates will not use their name in any other material. Only the identifying mark will be used instead. This will ensure the anonymity of the process.
